Fun on the hill - top

With Bill B (Malvern) due to arrive at mid day in his lovely little aeroplane at Perranporth to have a go at Paragliding we decided to go to the hill rather than the field and get the basics done there with the added chance of getting Frank H (Bodmin) his first soaring flight.

Having picked Bill up after parking his plane we headed to the hill where much to our surprise no one else was to be found, ideal.  The wind was light and a little off but ideal for what Bill wanted so it was out with a wing and straight into Paragliding for Bill.   We spent a good afternoon practicing ground handling and by the end of play he was looking like he at least know what to do even if he could not always do it!

Bill B almost smiling

Frank also pitched up and got a full hill brief and played ground handling but declined a top to bottom in the marginal conditions and I can't blame him, that is what we have a winch for.

Bill gets the hang of it controlling two wings at one time !

Also good to see Colin n arrive and put in some well timed practice for Algo' with some good forward launches and build up to flying speed, should come in handy!

Hopefully we will have a good day in the field tomorrow where we can put Bills efforts into practice.

Quote of the day "it's hiding somewhere"
