Yep as forecast and after a bit of a
wild night out and in the morning dawned damp and windy ….... make
of that what you want. Some were up surprisingly early one getting
up at 04.00 having heard the late comers returning and mistaking them
for people having breakfast, beware of the demon drink.
A relaxed morning it has to be said
largely taken up with pictures and videos from the night before and
tales of Carls antics, apparently one bar is hoping to hire him as an
attraction, bit like the bearded lady I think.
Finally with a bit of encouragement we
got a group decision to head to Jerez for some Go Karting and
possibly some massages. Following our noses we located the Kart
track yes the same one as last year and the more competitive amongst
us got booked in for the full Monty. How individual characters
emerge under such circumstances and previously unseen traits come
out. Even during warm up I was taken from behind by a normally mild
mannered man and then spun around by another, hmmmmmm.

The main event stated and the gloves
were off with Michel waiting for the marshals to be looking elsewhere
before “nudging” another one into the barriers. The competition
was hot and compared to last year the runner up was much more of a
worthy challenge to the reigning champion who despite a now stiff
neck retained his title and reaped the rewards.

It was a hot and sweaty group that took
off the overalls to be showered in hugs and kisses from the adoring
groupies, well you can but dream. Cooling down with a few drinks
then it was back east to Algo for eats drinks and beds in
anticipation of some airtime tomorrow. Forecast is steadily improving
with a god looking week coming up.
