Evening Delight

Sunrise from the Terrace :)

Well quite dark actually!  On a forecast that offered various site choice we opted to head back to El Bosque having had so much fun there yesterday. Under a clear blue sky and with the temp' in the mid 20's it was always going to be  nice day so flying would be a bonus.

Up on launch we sunbathed until the heat hit the ridge then as the first vultures started to thermal Bill was up and off leading the way as usual.  This time his luck did not quite hold and he took an early trip down but no worries using his charms he quickly got a lift back up to launch.

BIll lays the law down and tells everyone to behave

As conditions improved the others got going with some going up and some going down but all having fun. Phil and Chrissy got it right and showed the locals how to do it and had a super time with the ridge pretty much to themselves for a good half hour before more pilots got up there with them.

Take offs were a little bit trickier but everyone got of safety although a few did give some entertainment :)  Conditions were a little bouncy at times so everyone got plenty of active flying practise in along with the thermalling.  By the time we got everybody down safe and sound things were on the exciting side so we opted for a coffee in the cafe to while away an hour and let things cool off a little.

Mark climbs out from launch under a cracking sky

Packing up and heading back up for the evening flight

Back up to launch at 17.00 and things were setting in for the evening lift.  Depending on the luck of your launch time things were either really easy or a bit more challenging.  Martin and Mike got the tricky slot as a sink cycle came through seeing them have to work for their flights whilst the rest had it easier and were soon up high having a ball.  Peachy excelled his best ever height as did Mark and Phil. Michel Kaz and Bill chased each other around the sky late into the evening in what was by now the "Chocolate sauce" lift. As the sun set they came in one by one with Michel bringing up the rear and gliding off into the sunset.

Nice ......... and a nice landing approach from Simon

De ja Vue Michel makes the most of the day before heading off into the sunset

Martin showed off his skill at car packing squeezing 8 gliders and  pilots into a Fiat Doblo much to Michels delight.heading off into the sunset.

Spankings were accepted by those who deserved it and congratulations by others!  You guessed where we ate by popular vote and with a pretty tired crew only the hard core three remained by 23.00.

Sorry about the lack of arial shots but will get round to pinching some soon...... possibly, possibly not

Quote of the day "well at least you did not jump"
