When Sinky gets Lifty

Eggseptional has to be the term for breakfast as we got the timing just right resulting in some very nice eggs indeed. What, a little high cloud around and with a very light N breeze we hoped that there would be enough convection to bring the breeze up the main launch so headed off and up. With Shaun having headed off to meet up with some fiends in Granada the converstion in our car deteriated noticeably.

Another day another lunch

Things were just getting going on arrival but we gave it a good 45 minutes or so before getting the kit out to let it warm up a bit. With gliders stating to climb up to the inversion once again Graham K led the way, where is Michel ??

Dancing  Duo

Everyone got away cleanly first time despite a good number of others visiting the bushes for various reasons. Those that got up found the air a little bouncy and a lot bouncy if they made it to the inversion layer which they could not quite punch through. Even Michel thought there was room for improvement and Phil found out how well his Delta 2 dealt with Asymmetric collapses.

By by the time I got down the hill to join Kaz in the bottom landing everyone was down and pretty much packed so we headed off to the bar for some cold drinks as things were warming up quickly. A group discussion and it was the choice to head to Ronda la V once again so leaving the masses to flight it out on Ponientte. It's always a risk leaving a flyable hill so it was fingers crossed all the way.

On arrival it was quite light but good direction so I decided to give it a go and see what was on as we had the site to ourselves, is that good?? Graham K “kindly” held back and let me go first as a bit of breeze pushed through. One beat along the ridge to the far end where there was nice lift which quickly developed into a cracking climb up and away to as high as you like, lovely.

Paradise

Graham and Phil were soon up there as well and found good lift as I circled down to land and get things moving. A sink cycle saw Phil also nipping in and Graham slope landing before more steady lift came in. With things settling down Ollie popped in his final CPC qualifying soaring and top landing flights as well as having some stunning flying in between.

Martin top of the stack

Michel used up another of his 9 lives ,so that will be 11 so far then, and caused a sharp intake of breath on the hill …........

Martin J finallly shook off his nickname and replaced it with a better one as he not only ridge soared up but flew out and away from the hill climbing well high ( over 1000') as he went before pulling Big Ears to lose hieght for his return, cracking.

Peachy does a peachy one

Gliders in the sun

Classic Ronda

In such good conditions we all had a ball even Paechy got to the point of shouting down as to wht we were not all in the air, how times change.......... As evening drew in Kaz led team Cloud 9 out and away from the hill to the road landing where Michel and myself brought up the rear whilst Phil and Peachy brought the cars down. What an Excellent day :0)

Last man down

It was a flown out bunch that returned to Algo' how much longer can we keep this up ?
