Stunning Saturday

Well looks like another cracking weekend coming up with hill soaring for all so it was off to Perranporth we headed.

A nice westerly was blowing at a steady 16mph so perfect for both Hangies and Paragliders and Tandems, who could ask for more:)

Whilst Jeremy S (Bristol) put together his very short packed glider I had plenty of time to rig a brand new shiny Wills Wing Sport 2 155 and test fly it.  Yep you know what I am going to say "I love these gliders".  OK the test flight was a little longer than usual but when you are having fun....... With Jeremy still assembling it was good to meet up with Malin L (Plymouth) who had come along to start his Tandem Pg rating.  A check out of his kit and chat about Tandems, insurance, limitations etc then it was off to the front to get going.

A couple of flights with myself as pilot then it was over to Malin.  Have to say he did a great job and never gave me one dragging over the 6 flights he gave me in varying conditions before letting him loose on Kaz as the wind eased and the risk of a walk up increased!  No worries he popped her back in opn top as sweet as you like.  Another few flights and he should be sorted and with a super attitude and plenty of talent he should make a good tandem Pilot.

Malin looks relaxed as he takes me for a ride, no
I was not really that worried.

In amongst flying with Malin we got Jeremy up on his Hanger for his first flight on his new wing.  He did a fine job mixing it with the Paragliders before climbing above them for a bit easier flying.  In for a nice top landing then it was time to pop him into his new harness for another flight.  With conditions getting a little lighter he put in a good 45 minutes starting off high but slowly coming down to mix it with the Paras before heading to the beach, but then he is young and fit!

Kristy cam along for a Tandem flight bought by boyfriend Ollie and caught it just right. We had a super flight in beautiful sunshine with superb views.  Kristy had a great time and with the added bonus of being "chased"by her very confused dog as we flew along the dunes it was great fun too.

Kaz popped in some flying on her Paraglider and hangy and just to round off the day I had a couple of fun flights on Adies Rush 4 and Kaz 's Z4 playing in some light evening lift wafting in the heat as it came up from the beach.

A great day and nice to see Tony B & Graham C from the very old days.

Quote of the day "that would be an added birthday bonus"  you don't want to know ........ well you do but I am not going to tell you!
