Motoring on Monday ......

With plenty of useful work done around the house and in the office it was  nice to see the showers clear late afternoon and the sun come out.

With Fergie and Treeve chomping at the bit to get starting on Paramotoring we met in the field at 18.15 to start them off.  A bit of kit checking and basic ground handling with the unit then it was time for a demo flight.  Up and away into a lovely smooth sky all felt good and I was soon back down with the guys looking suitably nervous.

Treeve gets the feel of power ....

Fergie gets into the beast

Fergie was first in and after a couple of dummy runs to get the feel of it and to make sure he could stop the unit if he needed to it was the big one.  despite the light breeze Fergie did a fine job if letting his legs up a little early causing a sharp intake of breath;)  Once away he did great getting into the harness easily (maybe bait to easy) then flying around the field putting in 360's both ways as he climbed out.  After a nice play around and with a change in the exhaust note it was time to come in.

Light wind indeed as Fergie gets his first flight in

'nuff said :)

With a nice set up Fergie landed her as pretty as you please making it all look very easy indeed.  Big smiles and handshakes then it was a unit inspection to find the cause of the noise.  A split flexible connector was the culprit but with a bit of ingenuity we managed a fix and off he went again.

Sunset flying

Touch down

A super take off a super flight and a Super landing as the sun set, what more can you ask.  A more permanent fix then the guys will be back to complete the dream they started 3 years ago (well 12 in Treeves case) when they learnt to Paraglide.

Quote of the day "Prop er job"
