Our Blog is an up to date record of what we have been up to both in the school and out of it. We endeavour to update it as regularly as possible and include a sample the days pictures when available.

You can scroll back through the
Blog and follow various students progress through their training and get a good idea of how the school operates.

You will also find records of our trips abroad which will give you a good idea of what to expect should you wish to come on one with us.

Pushing onwards and upwards

The day started with Kaz and myself playing cowboys as we helped Ernie move the cows from the field leaving us with a few cow pats and a good supply of mushrooms for a few days to come.

Sunshine again and light winds forecast so we opted for a slightly later start to let the sea breeze kick in to give us a bit of an advantage with the Paramotor boys.

Duncan B (Cullumpton) was along to start his Paramotor part of his course having completed his EPC on the Paraglider and being half way through his CPC.  Kieth W (N.Devon) was also down for a bit more Paramotoring and hoping that the wind would play ball.

Whilst the breeze remained light we got Duncan going working through the basics then onto the ground handling side popping the Unit on his back and getting him used to it's weight.  Next it was powered runs up to take off speed and then aborts in preparation for the big one :)

Keith meanwhile "warmed" up with some ground handling and slowly removed the clothing layers one by one.

Duncan contemplates what he is about to do ......

With the breeze still not picking up much we popped Duncan onto the Element to make take offs and Landings a bit easier and after a demo flight which revealed conditions to be as smooth as a babies bottom he was ready to go.  A couple of attempts and as his confidence built he was soon up and away on his first flight and doing a fine job.  15 minutes later and looking pretty smooth he came in for a nice stand up landing and a big grin.

Up and away he flies high over the field

Looking good on finals and a stand up one followed

A debrief a drink and he was ready to go again this time with a bit more confidence, another good flight, another good landing it's not looking like luck :)

Kieth's turn but with the wind still light conditions proved just a bit too challenging and despite several attempts it was not going to happen, we will wait for a bit more breeze.

So back to Duncan and two more lovely flights saw him flying out to the coast and back and soaking up the views as well as learning Paramotoring ideal.  By the end of play he was well pleased with himself and well pleased at the progress he had made especially compared to his precious experience with another school in Britain and in Spain .......

Four flights under his belt and suitably chuffed

Celebration drink with some of the strong stuff

Lets hope tomorrow proves as good
