The wind played the same trick starting of as a nice breeze before dropping away to practically zero by the time we were ready to tow and the guys and gal had done enough ground handling.
How many people does it take to set up a speed bar ??
A test flight showed conditions to be surprisingly buoyant yet smooth to start with and we wasted no time in getting going. Colin N (Newlyn East) and Duncan B (Devon) both cracked on with their CPC tasks and by the end of the day were ready to move into the final stages, "Instability tasks".............
New 'chutes and a renewed Bill
Bev P (Barnstable) was back after her two days whilst she was on holiday and had a top day, with a plenty of one on one, completing her EPC tasks before rounding off with a couple of super high flights to the top of the tow to start her CPC and what a big smile it gave her :) or was that the sorting out of the ruck ?
Bev looking very chuffed with herself after the Big One
Peter V (Summercourt) came by to pop in another flight on his Paramotor and had a super flight in the sunshine climbing well high to enjoy the views over SW Cornwall before floating back down for a nil wind landing which he pulled off nicely.
Bill did not even notice that Kaz had shaved her head and got a tattoo !
Entertainment was not only provided by some very impressive models in the field nearby but also by Bill N, who it was great to see back in action like the old days, Adi and Phil, it's just like last of the summer wine .........
Everyone did a great job in the light conditions and it certainly sharpened up those landing flares.
The guys remind me of the time
We had an early pack at at 16.45 as we were off to Kaz's dad's 80th party but by then to be fair everyone was pretty much full so timing was good
Quote of the day "it could poke out of there"
