Our Blog is an up to date record of what we have been up to both in the school and out of it. We endeavour to update it as regularly as possible and include a sample the days pictures when available.

You can scroll back through the
Blog and follow various students progress through their training and get a good idea of how the school operates.

You will also find records of our trips abroad which will give you a good idea of what to expect should you wish to come on one with us.

Two timing at Perran

With a fresh WNW on the cards we headed to Perranporth with Richard h (Bristol) to hopefully get him back on track with learning to Hang Glide which he started over 20 years ago and after 3 different instructors he has ended up with us!  So we decided a good days tethering was the thing so we could see what he could do and he could get the feel back.

In a nice breeze we clipped him into the Falcon and spent the morning  running him along the top and sorting out a few things.  Richard quickly got the feel back and each flight helped out but a being a little over reactive made things a bit jumpy.

3 years ago we met up with a lovely couple from London who hoped to come up for a tandem flight on the Hangy but unfortunately the weather did not play ball.  But this year they were back and it did in fine style.

In super conditions at Perranporth we met up with Ranna and Oren back on holiday and the plan came together. Kaz was already in the air when they arrived which wetted their appetite nicely and kaz's nice landing helped to calm any nerves.

Ranna was first away and took it all in her stride relaxing in quickly to enjoy a super flight as we cruised the cliffs and dunes and took in the views which were stunning in the bright sunshine.  Stalls were her favourite and the more we winged it around the happier she was :)  A nice landing and change around soon saw Oren clipped in and ready to go.  Conditions were even better with a bit more sea thermal popping through making it a bit bouncier for him.  Still we had a great time with Oren getting to fly the wing and doing a good job of it as well.  A cracking tippy toed landing rounded off a the flight and it was two very happy passengers that agreed it was worth the wait.

Whilst the tandem was rigged we took the chance to take Richard up for a spin which proved very useful in getting him to realise just how subtle hangies can be along with the importance of the correct airspeed.  back on the ground he put in several more tethered runs and the change was noticeable with everything clicking nicely. Hopefully next time out life will be easy as we get him back into hang Gliding.

Good to see a few speed / mini wings out having fun and getting the airtime in
