Our Blog is an up to date record of what we have been up to both in the school and out of it. We endeavour to update it as regularly as possible and include a sample the days pictures when available.

You can scroll back through the
Blog and follow various students progress through their training and get a good idea of how the school operates.

You will also find records of our trips abroad which will give you a good idea of what to expect should you wish to come on one with us.

You are being watched ..........

05.30 sees the Kayak launched and Lee (eldest son) and myself paddling out to sea, an hour later we return loaded with fish enough to feed us for the week and a few more , good start to the day :))

Hunters return

The playtime continues with another lovely day in the field and actually quite a relaxed one at that. Colin B (Newlyn East) and Sam S (Poole) were along for taster days and both decided on Paragliding whilst Duncan B (Cullumpton) was back again to crack on with his Paramotoring course.

Kaz gets the taster days going

Duncan sets up

Whilst Kaz took the Taster day boys and got them going I stuck with Duncan to sort the Paramotor side. It was not long before Duncan was ready to go and this time he was on his own wing  which with a bit more breeze than yesterday was ideal.  A good nights sleep had done him wonders and he was looking much more confident in his abilities as he strapped in and set up.

Reverse launch was the choice of launch and he dealt with it well and was up and away in no time.Climbing steadily to over 1500' he had a great view of the North Cornish coast and beyond as well as plenty of time to settle in before returning to the field for a super landing.   Hi next flight was a lot longer at 40 minutes whilst i helped kaz out and left to his own devices he climbed up to near the 3000' mark from where in the crystal clear visibility he could see the whole of west Cornwall including Lands End, The Lizard, St Austell and a lot more Falmouth, cracking.  Another super landing followed to complete his CPC Paramotoring tasks, excellent.

Duncan flies high whilst the guys get ready to play

and comes in for a first class landing

By now the Taster days were ready for the winch so after lunch and a tow brief we got things running. Just about then a twin engined plane passed by the field to the west at a low altitude on a northerly heading, a few minutes later it returned on a southerly heading but a couple of hundred metres closer. Guess what a few minutes later it returned on a northerly and so on and so on until it passed over the field and slowly worked it's way away to the east. very strange is it the planning officer or is it the Google earth plane? Only time will tell.....

The customary dem' flight settled a few nerves and  Sam was selected as first to go and looked like a natural from the start setting the bar high.  Colin then joined in the fun and bit by bit we worked through his various tricks until we got him sorted and up and away!.. In fairness everyone of Colin's landings were soft if only he would put his feet down they would be perfect and that's just what he did on his final flight making it a good one all round.

Colin gets it sorted and has a good one

Sam looking sweet as he gets set to release

Sam popped in three nice ones before finishing his day with a sneaky release flight  as a bonus.  A lovely day all round and whats more a chilled relax afterwards in the field with a tea party where we were joined by Sam's family, perfect.

Well done to those guys who gave the Brea a go and even weller done to those who got away with Wyn D taking the honours, rumour has it that it's all down to his harness..... surely not.

Quote of the day "I think you are high enough now" no it's not related to the mushrooms......
